I can see you is a project that reflects on some issues raised by technology and digital communication
.
There is a new trend on YouTube: girls and boys, even very young, record and show their daily routines to the public. In this way they bring the viewer inside their homes, allowing them to "spy" intimate activities.
In the past, our houses were sacred and inviolable places; today their rooms are virtually shared with millions of people. In an era like the one we're experiencing, obsessed with privacy, all this seems bizzarre to say the least. It also tells a lot about the public, led to a new and exasperated form of voyeurism.
The project collects a series of frames extrapolated from YouTube videos. The colors have been transformed to recall surveillance and night vision systems.
